According to section 3F of the Juvenile Offenders Ordinance, when a juvenile has been convicted of any offence other than homicide in any other court, the court has a duty to remit the case to a juvenile court for sentencing unless it is undesirable to do so.
A juvenile may have been tried at another court if he or she was charged jointly with a person who is 16 years of age or above.
On remission to the juvenile court, the court will deal with the case as if the juvenile had been convicted at the juvenile court.
